Dr. Cecilia Reyes is an entomologist who holds a Bachelor, Masters, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees focused in Agriculture, Insect Biodiversity, Biological Control, Medical Entomology. She earned her degrees from the University of Southern Mindanao, the University of the Philippines Los Baños, the University of Alberta, and the University of Florida, USA.
She has over 30 years of extensive academic experience and is an experienced technical advisor in science education, project development, and monitoring and evaluation. Dr. Reyes is a recipient of the National Academy of Science and Technology Outstanding Young Scientist Award- Entomology, DOST’s Outstanding Research and Development Award- Agriculture, and the Southeast Asia Women 2021 cohort of women leaders- Agriculture, Science, Education.

Dr. Reyes has a long history of working with government and non-government organizations in the Philippines and worldwide. Since 2002, Dr. Reyes has been a volunteer to the Cadre of Technical Advisers of the Humanitarian Grants Program of the Rotary Foundation. She provides her professional skills and technical expertise to Rotarians worldwide in planning and implementing their projects. These projects include education, growing local economies, protecting the environment, promoting world peace, fighting diseases, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, and saving mothers and children.
